You've booked your carpet cleaning — now what? A little prep goes a long way. Ten minutes before we arrive can shave time off the job, protect your things, and help us give your carpets the deepest clean possible. Here's how to get ready.
Clear the Small Stuff
Pick up toys, shoes, cords, plants, and anything small resting on the carpet. We move sofas, chairs, and tables and clean underneath them, but clearing the little items ahead of time lets us get right to work instead of setting things aside one by one. Anything fragile or valuable is best moved to another room.
Give It a Quick Vacuum
We vacuum as part of the service, but a quick pass beforehand — especially in high-traffic lanes and under furniture — pulls up loose surface dirt and pet hair so our extraction can focus on the ground-in grime that a household vacuum can't reach. If you're short on time, skip it; we've got it covered either way.
Point Out the Problem Spots
Know where the coffee spill, the pet accident, or the stubborn traffic lane is? Tell us. Flagging problem areas up front means we can pre-treat them properly and set the right expectations about what will come out completely and what may be permanent. Old, set-in stains are always worth a heads-up.
Plan for Parking and Drying
Our truck-mounted equipment runs from the van, so a clear spot in the driveway or close to the door helps. Afterward, most carpet is dry in a few hours — crack a window or run a fan to speed things along, and keep foot traffic light until it's fully dry.
